OpenWork

OpenWork is an open-source desktop AI agent platform for doing real work with files, applications, and browser workflows on your own computer. It is designed as a local-first alternative to closed AI coworkers, giving users a visual workspace for agent tasks while letting them choose their model providers, skills, plugins, and level of control. The desktop app can help with file management, document creation, research, browser automation, repetitive workflows, and other computer tasks. OpenWork supports more than 50 LLM providers through bring-your-own-key workflows and is built on OpenCode, so users can extend agents with skills, MCP servers, and plugins. Users can also share complete agent setups with teammates rather than recreating configurations manually. OpenWork can be used locally on macOS, Windows, and Linux, with a browser experience and optional hosted cloud workers for teams. The local desktop mode is designed so files remain on the user's machine while prompts go to the AI provider the user selects. Team features add centralized management for skills, MCPs, models, and seats, while enterprise deployments can use managed or self-hosted infrastructure and additional governance.
