FutureStack (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a community-driven AI tools discovery marketplace. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
Account data
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed — never stored in plain text).
Newsletter data
If you subscribe to The Stack, your email is stored with Beehiiv, our newsletter provider.
Submitted content
Tool submissions, upvotes, comments, and profile information you choose to provide.
Analytics data
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use FutureStack. This includes pages visited, clicks, scroll depth, session recordings, and general location data (country/city level). No personally identifiable information is sent to these services.
Technical data
Cloudflare processes all traffic to FutureStack and may log IP addresses and request data as part of CDN and security operations.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate FutureStack
- To send The Stack newsletter (only if you subscribed)
- To send transactional emails — account verification, password reset
- To understand how the product is used and improve it
- To prevent spam and abuse
3. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your personal data with advertisers.
- We do not use your data for automated decision-making.
4. Affiliate Links
Some links on FutureStack are affiliate links tracked via Dub. Clicking these costs you nothing extra. Tool makers who submitted their tools have consented to this. Affiliate links are disclosed on relevant tool pages.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing team.futurestack@gmail.com.
8. Third-Party Services
FutureStack uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: Supabase (database and auth), Beehiiv (newsletter), Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Cloudflare (CDN and DNS), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting).
9. Children
FutureStack is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will notify subscribers via email for material changes.
